How Slip keeps what you spend in your hands.

Spending controls

  • A tip is at most $100. A tip is a gratuity: it doesn't include photos, video or a promised reply.

  • Daily and weekly limits with each creator. On tips and instant content you can spend up to $300 a day, $1,000 a week and $2,500 a month with one creator, and one card can spend up to $500 a day on Slip.

  • Set your own limits, or pause. Choose lower daily and weekly limits, for one creator or for everyone, or pause your purchases for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Open "Set your own spending limits" in any of your conversations, or the link in any receipt. A lower limit works at once; raising one takes 24 hours, and a pause can't be ended early.

  • A statement after every session. One email, sent 2 hours after your last payment, lists every payment you made, so you can match them to your card statement.

  • Cancel a tip within an hour. Cancel in one tap from your conversation for 60 minutes after paying. After that, use Request help.

  • The descriptor is shown before you pay. Your card statement shows a discreet descriptor, never the creator's name or what you bought; checkout shows it before you pay.
