The 72-hour guarantee, and cancelling a tip

When you're refunded automatically, and how each kind of purchase settles.

The guarantee

Content you're owed: if a confirm-first item or a Paid reply doesn't arrive in 72 hours, you get every cent back, Slip fee included. A custom request is refunded in full if the creator doesn't accept it within 72 hours or doesn't deliver within the window they quoted. It happens automatically; you don't need to ask.

Sets and singles

Sets, bundles and singles arrive the moment you pay. If something's wrong with what you received, use Request help: we look at every request, and put it right or refund you where it's warranted. Singles never cost you more than their set. In one payment, once your picks from a set reach its price, you pay the set's price and get all of it. Later, what you've paid for a set's singles counts toward it, so completing the set costs the difference, from $1. Bundles work the same way: whatever you've already bought of a bundle (its sets, singles from them, or another bundle that held some of the same) counts toward it, so the rest costs the difference, and you're never sold a set or a bundle you already have all of. That works wherever Slip knows it's you: on a device that remembers you, from your conversation, or once you've entered the code we email you at checkout, which shows the lower price before you pay.

Tips

A tip doesn't include photos, video, or a promised reply. You can cancel a tip yourself within an hour of paying, with Cancel beside it in your conversation; after that, use Request help for anything about it. If you want a reply you can count on, buy a creator's Paid reply: it's delivered within 72 hours or refunded automatically.

Confirm-first items

For a confirm first item your card is only held, not charged. You're charged when the creator confirms. If they don't confirm in time, the hold is released.

Custom requests

The creator quotes a price and a delivery window (up to 30 days) before you pay anything. Paying holds the amount on your card; the creator has 72 hours to accept, and you're charged then. The window runs from their acceptance, and the request shows the date. If they don't accept in time, the hold is released; if the work isn't delivered by the end of the window, you're refunded in full, Slip fee included. The Slip fee on a custom includes a 5% service fee on the quote, shown before you pay.
